Mitchellake Consulting is currently representing a leader in the market which are developing products and services that are having a huge impact on agricultural, urban and environmental landscapes. As an example you will be building solutions for monitoring and control of urban infrastructures or designing systems that control more efficient water use when managing crops and pasture.

Expectations:

• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• Typically 5+ yrs Development experience with strong Java expertise and are able to take ownership of a set of core communications and data management systems.
• Java / MySQL & Node.js Systems development environment.
• Our client run everything on Amazon EC2 and base their products on technologies such as HTML5, AJAX, REST and lots more
• You must have worked in an environment with strong software engineering practices and methodologies. (Java Frameworks are a must in this role)
• You will have an understanding of the application of protocols, network theory, communications systems/services, layered architectures, algorithms etc.
• You will understand software that operates in constrained environments and be able to maintain, design and implement Java software services that embody these constraints.
• Swing experience would be a strong benefit.
• Passion & Interest in progressive technology concepts and products
• Proactive in problem solving and troubleshooting & are self motivated and resourceful
• R&D type engineering environment but you will be a natural communicator & have an entrepreneurial type presence in how you approach your craft.
