This is an outstanding opportunity to join a unique business unit within one of Australia's largest corporates where autonomy and accountability are the cornerstones for success!

The primary focus of this role is to work with the Head of Online and Social Media to drive and develop the application and awareness of social media. This person will play a key role in further developing exciting and innovative social media strategies that aim to build positive brand awareness.  The role has primary responsibility for social media reporting, researching and keeping ahead of trends and new channels, ensuring best practice processes are known and are imbedded across the business, managing an influencer management program, and maintaining external relationships with external partners/suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Build trusted relationships with key third party contacts including Google, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube
  • Establish company-wide blogger database and nurture relationships by establishing blogger outreach program, working with Head of Online & Social Media
  • Responsible for the development of weekly and monthly reporting of social media activity across the business - work with the Head of Online and Social Media to design objectives and KPIs for the team regarding the success of online activity
  • Instigate an educational program for the communications team and the broader business to raise awareness and empower people in the use of social media and ensure it is integrated into broader communications strategies
  • Lead the project to analyse and ensure best practice when it comes to assets in social media
  • Provide leading industry information and news to the wider business on a regular basis - to design activity to share this news across the business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with handset manufacturers in order to ensure access to exclusive product launches and integrated communications strategies with their plan of activity
  • Develop, maintain and share a comprehensive content plan of activity, announcements and priority messages.
  • Contribute & drive the success of corporate social media assets; Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and the corporate blog
Experience:

Successful candidates must be degree qualified within communications, marketing or similar. You will have recent experience working in social media for an agency or in-house for a brand or company.  This must be at a senior level that has involved crisis management, strategy development and implementation. Naturally, in a role like this you will have superior communication skills, be creative and comfortable presenting ideas to senior stakeholders.  Content (written and video) production skills are a bonus.
