Mitchellake is working on behalf of  NineMSN to identify and engage their Chief Technology Officer (CTO). NineMSN is a joint venture between PBL Media and Microsoft attracting over 10 Million unique browsers every month and Australia's largest online content publisher, reaching 69% of the online community.  
 
About the Position
 
This is a green field opportunity, which has been created due to the success and growth of the NineMSN brand. As part of the executive team you will report directly into the CEO as the most senior technology executive within the business. The ninemsn portal encapsulates over 50 web sites, mobile and video content and popular products including Microsoft Search product bing, windows live messenger and hotmail. You will be responsible for driving performance, innovation and adoption of technology across the business, whilst managing and leading the technology team. The team encapsulates Architecture, Platforms, Infrastructure, Development and Support. You will be responsible for a significant IT budget, with the capability to invest in technologies that will drive further market penetration and innovation.
 
Outcomes
 
The CTO will be measured by the following outcomes;

• Assist in the achievement of NineMSN EBIT & Revenue Goals
• Successful Financial & People leadership of a 75 strong technology team
• Successful execution of Business Aligned Technology Strategy
• Technical innovation leading to competitive advantage
• Evolve an efficient and Agile technology function that can meet the business needs
• Zero Downtime

Requirements
 

• 10+ Years experience in technology leadership with a minimum of 5 years in a digital or convergence technology leadership role.
• Demonstrated leadership of technology teams of 50+ people
• Experience working with large scale web environments. Web content management systems and Microsoft .NET environments is highly desirable
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated understanding of business drivers of long term profitability
• Ability to develop, communicate and execute a business wide technology vision.
• Clearly defines KPIs and aligns the technology organisation to businesses strategic goals
• Drive for results, anticipates and overcomes problems and takes steps to impact the results
