The Australian branch of this global organisation are looking forward to a very exciting year! They have dominated the online space globally since their inception, and are seen as a true pioneer in the space.
 
As a result of a restructure, this role has opened up within the business. It is a superb opportunity for an individual with skills across strategy, analysis and insights as well as project management capabilities.
 
As Category Manager you will report into the Head of Category and contribute to the overall growth and strategic direction of the category. This will involve identifying opportunities for business growth, running analysis and research projects and drawing on the insights to drive new strategies for the business.
 
The Category Manager will run business and data analysis working closely with an Analyst, and draw on both quantitative and qualitative research to develop key hypotheses for new category initiatives.
 
This individual will also be involved with the planning and management of key projects, overseeing the successful delivery of projects within your category. The Category Manager will manage projects from concept stage through to execution, including managing  virtual and local cross functional teams, project planning, budget management and scoping.
 
The Category Manager will also be responsible for presenting back to the broader business on a regular basis, delivering insights into the activity and results from the category.
 
Candidate profile
This role is well suited to an individual with 2-3 years strategy/consulting experience, ideally within the online and/or retail industries. The chosen candidate will be highly analytical with an innate ability to extract insights from in-depth analysis, feeding these back into the strategy to drive new category initiatives and growth.

Strong presentation skills are essential, in addition to strong end to end project management skills and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
 
Candidates should hold a Bachelors Degree in a related field, with MBA qualifications desirable.
