Areas of specialisation: My time is spent managing the business on a day to day basis, staying connected to our candidate and client audiences and ensuring everyone in the business is enjoying themselves. I also still work on filling senior roles.
Professional Experience: I’m basically a technology recruiter with 19 years in recruitment, so I’ve covered a fair bit. I’ve managed and grown specialist technology recruitment businesses, worked in senior roles at large publically listed recruitment groups, operated across a number of overseas markets including Europe and the US and filled many, many roles across the technology, digital and start-up sectors.
Why did you join ML? I love the specialisation we have and the depth and reach of the networks we have developed over the last 10 years. I’m a firm believer in giving everyone a great experience when they come into contact with a recruitment consultancy, whether they are a client or a candidate and I think ML has always consistently done this really well over the years. Most importantly though, we run the business based on trust and this has created a close knit team of people who are experts in their field but don’t take themselves too seriously, a rare find in the recruitment world.
Hobbies/passions outside of ML: My 3 kids keep me busy but I’m also passionate about climbing mountains and rock faces as often as possible, as this takes me to some places off the beaten track around the world.
Favourite band or album: This is a tough one – would have to be the Stone Roses...I think
