Fergus is a New Zealand-based job management platform focussed on trade businesses. Customers, primarily small businesses, use Fergus to manage all aspects of their operations, including quoting, scheduling, timesheets, communications, invoicing, and resource planning. With a dominant position in the NZ trades sector, Fergus is rapidly expanding its footprint in Australia and key international markets.
Fergus was looking to appoint a CEO to lead the company’s operations, to leverage the credibility of the product, and to develop, design and deliver the company’s next stage of growth by capitalising fully on the company’s market opportunities. The ideal candidate would be a highly strategic commercial leader with a strong background in scaling a SaaS business.
Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO would own and control the Fergus’ vision, structure, customer value proposition and strategy.
The CEO would be accountable for the P&L, day-to-day operations, strategic direction, business development, and people leadership of the business. The role would own all major stakeholder relationships including the board, existing & potential investors, major partners and customers. The initial focus for the incoming CEO would be to develop and drive the company’s Australian growth strategy. The CEO’s remit would also include developing and driving strategic initiatives; establishing a commercial footprint in Australia; driving early uptake in key overseas markets, with an initial focus on the UK; and realising the full market potential of the product.
