Founded in 2011, MessageBird is the Amsterdam and San Francisco-based cloud communications platform offering a suite of Cloud Communications APIs that enable developers and enterprises to communicate with customers all over the world.


MessageBird had bootstrapped until their Series A (2017) of $60M (Europe’s Largest). With new round of funding established and growth targets of increasing headcount by 100% in 2 years, MessageBird needed a foothold in ANZ to grow their brand further internationally and were looking to hire the first person on ground in ANZ. The role required a sales leader who was experienced with CPaaS and had lead the successful growth of a company in ANZ. They would be responsible for generating revenue and margin by actively building and maintaining senior management-level relationships with large enterprise customers. In addition, they would have end-to-end ownership of Identifying, creating, developing, negotiating and closing high-value opportunities
