Executive Search CTO
Global Executive Search for a Technology Leader

In 2022, MitchelLake partnered with Adventus, an ambitious multinational education technology venture, to deliver an executive search for CTO. The mandate was to appoint a Chief Technology Officer capable of scaling a platform designed to democratise access to global higher education.

Adventus is transforming how students and agents connect with international universities by indexing the course inventory of thousands of institutions and making it transparently discoverable worldwide. Where previously students in emerging markets might only have visibility of a dozen schools through traditional brokers, Adventus enables access to more than 80,000 courses at 1,500+ universities.

Scaling this type of EdTech marketplace requires world-class technology leadership. Adventus needed a CTO with deep technical expertise, global platform experience, and the ability to lead engineering teams across geographies while ensuring resilience, scalability, and innovation.

The Appointment

Through our global executive search CTO process, MitchelLake identified and secured a leader with the skills and experience to guide Adventus through rapid growth. The appointed CTO was tasked with advancing the product roadmap, scaling platform infrastructure, and enabling innovation that supports thousands of institutions and recruitment agents worldwide.

This appointment has strengthened Adventus’s ability to deliver on its mission of opening global education opportunities, providing a foundation for long-term scale and impact.
