Head of Marketing – Startup

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to develop, implement, track and optimise digital marketing campaigns across all customer channels.

Expertise

  • Deep experience building early-stage venture B2B and B2C audiences from the ground up
  • Strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies
  • Ability to build a wide range of integrated marketing initiatives
  • Proven execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • An innovative approach to customer acquisition + management of budgets
  • Culture champion and team player with a strong work ethic and passion for start-up environments
  • Ability to “roll up sleeves” and work in a scrappy, early-stage business

You will:

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build, grow and maintain social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimise user experience
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
  • Instrument conversion points and optimise user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and channel partners for growth. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in digital marketing (5+ years)
  • Proven track record of building significant scale
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns with outstanding growth results
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimising landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Our client is an early stage, heavy tech services business based in Cremorne, Melbourne. Although we are all working from home at the moment, candidates must be willing and able to travel to Richmond from time to time (when it is safe to do so) and help to create a fantastic working culture as part of the senior leadership team.
