Credit intelligence, data, analysis, distressed monitoring, is a research and workflow layer; front-office software for credit markets is a transaction-execution and portfolio-management layer. Owning both means Octus now has to maintain integration across the insight-to-action chain in real time, across both public and private credit, under the expectations of front-office users who have zero tolerance for latency or data inconsistency. That is a different engineering and product contract than the one Octus held before this deal closed.
